Installation Step-by-Step

Installing the BAND-IT C2059 stainless steel banding is a straightforward process designed for efficiency and reliability. Follow these steps for proper installation:

1. Measure and Cut
   Begin by measuring the required length of the stainless steel banding needed for your application. Use a cutting tool specifically designed for stainless steel to ensure a clean and accurate cut.
2. Prepare the Band and Buckle
   Slide a compatible buckle (C2559) onto the cut end of the banding. Make sure the buckle is positioned correctly, with the open slots facing outward for secure fastening.
3. Wrap the Banding Around the Object
   Wrap the banding around the item you are securing, ensuring it is positioned tightly and evenly. Insert the free end of the band through the buckle, leaving enough excess to tension the band.
4. Tension the Banding
   Using a BAND-IT tensioning tool (C00169), insert the free end of the band into the tool's clamp and begin tightening. Apply consistent tension until the band is firmly secured around the object.
5. Lock and Cut Off Excess Banding
   Once the desired tension is achieved, lock the band in place by bending the banding back over the buckle. Trim the excess material using the tensioning tool's built-in cutter.
6. Secure the Cut End
   Hammer down the cut end of the banding to eliminate sharp edges and ensure a safe, secure finish. Verify that your installation is tight and stable for optimal performance.
